The Love Dare~Day 7~How much do you appreciate your spouse?

Day 7 has an interesting analogy about two different rooms in our hearts…the Appreciation Room and the Depreciation Room.  In the first one you will find written on the walls all the kind words and admirable things that you feel about your spouse.  You probably put more of these in this room at the beginning of your marriage.  In the other room are all the negatives that we find in our husbands.  The longer you are married the more you probably dwell in this room.  And I’m sure you can imagine which room you should stay out of (or maybe paint over those negatives on the walls.)

If you truly want to love your hubby you need to choose stay out of door number 2.

Today’s dare is to get 2 sheets of paper and write positive and negative things about your spouse. Set them both in a secret place for later. Also, thank your hubby one of those positive things you appreciate about him.

If there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things. Philippians 4:8
